Miniature, upper register:
David: slinging at Goliath -- David, holding sling extended in right hand, and pedum in left hand, stands amid four sheep looking toward Goliath. Goliath, wearing helmet and mail, possibly bleeding from head, holds sword in right hand, scabbard in left hand and has round shield on left arm. Scene with two trees is against background of blue diaper.
Miniature, lower register:
David: beheading Goliath -- David, holding sword in right hand and head of Goliath with left hand, beheads Goliath, reclining on ground. Scene with three trees, is against background of pink diaper.
All within frame of pink and blue with geometric ornament.
Initial B:
Psalm 001 (Vulg., 001).
David:as Musician -- David, crowned, is seated, cross-legged, on bench playing harp with both hands.
Lower margin:
Mermaid, with raised right hand holds round mirror near face, and combs hair with left hand.
