David: communicating with God -- David, crowned, hands joined, wearing vair-lined cloak, kneels on cushion before draped table (?) on which is book, and beside which is harp. He looks up at half-figure of God, raising right hand and holding globe surmounted by cross in left hand, amid rays in arc of Heaven. Behind David, five monks, tonsured, the foremost holding book open on lectern, stand in canopied wooden structure, singing. Scene has background of gold filigree on red, and foreground of green floor tiles.
Margins decorated with border of foliate and floreate ornament.
