Christ: crowned with Thorns -- Christ, crossed nimbus as rays, eyes closed, and bleeding from wounds in head on which is placed crown of thorns by two tormentors, He is seated, with arms bound. All in arcaded interior with tiled floor and probably Pilate standing in doorway. Margins decorated with diapered border with infilling of flowers and pearls. Miniature at beginning of Terce in Short Hours of the Cross.
