Eutropius of Saintes, nimbed, wearing bishop's miter and vestments, stands before brocade cloth of honor, holding crozier with sudarium in left hand and with right hand raised in blessing to kneeling man, probably donor, holding lighted candle in right hand and crutch in left hand. Behind him are veiled woman and youth, both holding lighted candles. Scene in interior of church, with tile floor, carved tracery, and leaded-glass windows. In background is draped altar with retable depicting the Crucifixion, with one cross flanked by Virgin Mary (?) and Evangelist John (?), with other figures at sides.
Margins with floreate and scroll ornament, inhabited in left margin by hybrid man, wearing hat, with churn; and in lower margin by partially draped woman, wearing pointed hat and necklace, emerging (?) from back of fantastic animal as she grasps its tail with her left hand.
