Christ: Deposition -- Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat, supports body of Christ, nimbed, in loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in hands and side. Nicodemus, wearing hat, with pincers extracts nail from Christ's left hand on cross. Behind them are Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, and Evangelist John, nimbed (heads only visible). Two ladders lean against cross. Scene in landscape setting.
Margins are decorated floreate border, including daisies and violas
