Livres des Merveilles du Monde: Scene, Frisia -- Man, wearing feathered hat and suit of armor, walks through arched doorway toward two men, the foremost with left hand holding feathered hat and with right hand raised toward judge, wearing hat, also extending right hand, seated on throne, feet on rug. In background, among two men, one wears hat, the other raises right forefinger to indicate the judge, both standing behind ledge. Scene within room of courthouse with tiled floor and wooden ceiling; hilly landscape with trees and crenellated buildings to far left in background. Initial F of Frise decorated with foliate ornament. Miniature for Livre de Merveilles du Monde for Frisia (Germany).
