Evangelist, John: Scene, on Patmos -- Evangelst John, nimbed, is at desk, writing in open book with pseudo-inscription. He looks up toward angel, with hands raised. Figures in landscape setting.
Margin is decorated with foliate border, including thistles, roses, and daisies, inhabited by fantastic animal. In roundel in left margin is John Baptist, nimbed, with right forefinger indicating lamb with bannered cross staff upon book he holds in left hand.
