Scene, Liturgical: Celebration of Communion -- Donors, woman, veiled with wimple, and man, both with joined hands, kneel before priest, tonsured, wearing alb with stole, giving Communion to the man with right hand and holding chalice with left hand. Beside them is draped altar on which is book, and monstrance flanked by two candlesticks. Reredos decorated with figures is on back of altar. Curtain is to left of altar.
Scene in church with windows, and vaulted ceiling and framed by arch supported by two columns. On top, dome surmounted by crescent.
Margins decorated with border of foliate ornament and bunches of twigs, with heraldry (gules a horse rampant argent, surcharged with an estoile gules) of Assendelft family, and inhabited by fantastic animal and hybrid man.
