Thomasin von Zerclaere: Text, Der Wälsche Gast, Book 03.03 -- Personification of Stinginess, with scrolls inscribed DAZ IST DAZ ARGE and ZUCH MIR IN HIEN, sits on bench and extends right hand to hand of man, wearing purse at waist, kneeling on one knee, with scrolls inscribed ICH DUN ICH DIM and ZU FUGE MIR RICHTUM. Behind him stands man, with scroll inscribed DER RICHE MAN, wearing collar attached to chain held by the kneeling man. Behind the collared man stands personification of Desire, with scrolls inscribed DIE GIRDE and IE BALDE DIR SUMES DICH (sic), holding rod in right hand to the collared man's arm.
