Roman de la Rose: Scene, Reason departing from Lover, and Roman de la Rose:Scene,Friend comforting Lover -- Personification of Reason, wearing wimpled veil, departs to left. Lover, wearing belted tunic, stands with arms crossed before hooded Friend gesturing toward him. Scene within gold frame decorated with gold ivy leaves. Marginal extension decorated with ivy leaves.
