Miniature, column: Ezekiel, wearing draped headgear, holding open book with pseudo-inscriptions, seated on high-backed chair (reading). He is before desk on which is propped book and leaf with pseudo-inscriptions, surmounted by shelves on which are several books. Scene in room with window on far wall and tiled floor. Illustration for First Nocturn and First Lesson of Matins on First Sunday in November. Initial E enclosing possibly Ezekiel, wearing hat, with left hand holding book and with right hand extended, wearing headgear, beneath (Ezekiel: communicating with God?). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration inhabited by half figures of two prophets, wearing draped headgear, emerging from cloudy arcs, holding scrolls inscribed AUDIA QUEM and ET FACTUM EST IN (left).
