Initial:
Nehemiah: Scene -- Scribe, seated with feet on cushion (?) on chair behind desk, holding scraper in left hand, extends right hand toward Nehemiah (?), tonsured, seated, holding scroll with pseudo-inscription.
Scene within initial U decorated with foliate ornament and with foliate extenders.
Margins:
Gold balls, and vine decorated with balls and foliate ornament terminating above with man standing on tilted platform, his hands extended toward initial and at bottom with foliate medallion enclosing swan.
Beginning of Nehemiah.
