Avis aus Roys: Text, Book I, Chapter 15 -- Six hands, emerging from left and top edges of miniature, hold scrolls, inscribed TRES REDOUBTE, TRES CRETIEN, TRES PUISSANT, TRES HAUT, TRES NOBLE, and TRES SAIGE. Crowned king raises right hand against scrolls. With sword raised in left hand, he turns toward Christ, decorated crossed nimbus. Christ, facing king, holds three arrows, or javelins, in right hand and book in left hand.
