Psalm 027 (Vulg., 026).
Martyrdom: Stephen Protomartyr -- Two executioners flank Stephen Protomartyr, decorated nimbus, tonsured, wearing deacon's vestments. Stephen Protomartyr kneels, hands joined in prayer, and raises head toward throne, appearing in cloud in starred arc of heaven.
Scene set in gold background within initial D partly formed by dragon with tail ending in foliate motif.
Left border contains letters D, Q, S, S written in gold. Each letter is initial beginning a verse.
SC STEPHANUS is written in gold letters in lower border of decorated frame.
