Christ: Crucifixion, mounting Cross -- Christ, decorated crossed nimbus, wearing long loin cloth, mounts ladder against cross with titulus and suppedaneum, above skull in crevasse. He is flanked by Virgin Mary, raising right hand, and Holy Woman, both nimbed and veiled, and four men. One man touches back of the Christ. Second raises hammer. Third holds three nails in basket. To right, three helmeted soldiers stand; two hold spears, and one holds sponge on reed (Stephaton ?).
