De Mulieribus Claris: Scene, Veturia confronting Coriolanus -- Standing with two other soldiers, one holding halberd, before open tent secured with stakes and ropes, Coriolanus, holds object with right hand and lifts hat with left hand. He looks toward his mother Veturia, wearing headdress and wimple, extending right hand, grasping robe with left hand, and looking back at him. Volumnia, wife of Coriolanus, wearing truncated hennin, with hands crossed at waist, stands behind Veturia.
Scene in landscape with trees, and with castle or city, possibly Rome, behind hill in background.
