Christ: Circumcision -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, arms crossed at breast, stands beside altar on which is nude Christ Child, rayed cross as nimbus, supported by Joseph the Carpenter. Mohel, wearing pointed cap, circumcises Him with knife held in right hand. Joseph the Carpenter is flanked by male figure, holding candle, and another male figure, arms crossed.
Scene occurs within initial P decorated with foliage.
Foliate border, including rosettes and candelabrum forms, frames text. Putto appears in right border.
