Antiochus IV: Siege of Jerusalem -- Antiochus, with label inscribed ANTHIOCUS, wearing crown and armor, stands with helmeted soldiers, some with swords and halberds before two tents, one with label inscribed REX (?), and the other with pseudo-inscription, all beside helmeted soldiers aiming bows and arrows and cannons, outside walls of city of Jerusalem, inscribed IHRLM (Iherusalem). More soldiers, some on scaling ladders, battle with Israelites at walls of city. In background, horses, tents and soldiers, gallows (?) on hilltop, and birds in sky.
In left margin is man, wearing hat, and armor, holding sword in right hand and shield in left hand; in lower margin, flanking arms of Fran³´ois de Baraton, hybrid with human head, wearing hat, and with bird body, with second face on abdomen, looking toward monkey, wearing helmet, holding sword in right hand, astride saddled dog, to right of arms.
Margins decorated with floreate ornament; outer margins of blue, with pattern of stars and the letter S.
