Chevalier aux Dames: Scene, Noble Coeur in Prayer -- Noble Coeur, wearing armor, with joined hands raised, kneels beside feathered helmet, looks up toward rayed arc of heaven, in which emerges crowned half-figure of Virgin Mary, supporting nude Christ Child in arms. Scene in hilly landscape. Miniature within gold frame for Chevalier aux Dames; Virgin Mary appears to Noble Coeur and assures him of her favor.
