1) Macarius of Rome: Scene, led to Cave with Ass, Hart and Dragon -- At left, youthful Macarius of Rome, nimbed, with right hand holding rod, walking beside bridled ass, its back tied with blanket, also beside horned hart, all approaching winged wivern, perched at mouth of cave, in which another youthful Macarius of Rome, nimbed, seated, surrounded by three lions, one laying supine on ground.
2) Macarius of Rome: Scene, Temptation -- At right, within room, woman, seated on cushioned bench cradling on her lap youthful Macarius of Rome, nimbed, eyes closed, with joined hands raised to left cheek; pair of lions at her feet.
