Medallions:
1) Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crossed nimbus, head inclined, bleeding from wounds, and wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to cross. He is flanked by Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, left hand on breast, and by Evangelist John, nimbed, looking toward Christ, raising right hand, holding book with draped left hand.
2) Christ: Ascension -- Christ, crossed nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, holding bannered cross-staff with left hand, hovers above rock on which are footprints. He is flanked on ground by Virgin Mary and three Apostles, all nimbed, kneeling, three with joined hands, one with raised hands. All look up toward Christ.
