Jean Froissart: Chroniques, Book I, Chapter 308-312 -- Bertrand de Guesclin, in armor, wearing surcoat decorated with arms, holding spear, leads soldiers in full armor, holding spears, in attack against group of soldiers in full armor, holding spears. Several soldiers lie dead on the ground. Soldier beside Bertrand carries standard bearing his arms.
Text describes battle of Tisech in Poitou, which occured during the battles of Poitou in September, 1372, between the French and English.
