Nicholas of Myra, wearing Bishop's miter, sits on draped throne and makes gesture of blessing with right hand and holds cross-staff in left hand. Figure within decorated initial E.
Top and bottom margins are decorated with floreate borders, including strawberries. In lower margin is cross-surmounted escutcheon with arms of Jean Coeur (azure, three hearts gules, on a fesse or three escallops argent), surmounted by scroll with inscription MORIR CO(VIENT) SOVENT ADVI(ENT ET N)EN SOVI(ENT).
