David: communicating with God -- David, crowned, with joined hands raised, kneeling beside harp, and looking up toward face of God, appearing in rayed arc of heaven; in hilly landscape with trees. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling foliate decoration inhabited by six half figures of angels emerging from clouds; monkey (left); dragon, partly formed of foliage; and lamb (lower).
