Psalm 001 (Vulg., 001).
Initial B:
1) David: as Musician -- Beside goblet and pitcher on shelves, David, crowned, sits on throne, playing animal-headed harp, beneath triple arcade.
2) David: slinging at Goliath -- Beside pedum, young David lifts fold of tunic containing stone with left hand and with right hand swings sling with stone.
Standing on two rocks, he faces Goliath, wearing broad helmet and shield slung over his shoulder, unsheathing sword from scabbard. Tree in center.
Scenes within initial B decorated with foliage and bar extensions in margins.
Pen-flourished line-ending of animal mask.
