Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, cross-nimbed, eyes closed, with crown of thorns, wearing short loin cloth, is affixed to cross with three nails. He is flanked above by sun and moon and below by Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with joined hands and Evangelist John, nimbed, right hand on breast, gazing up toward Christ. Bones in foreground at foot of cross. Scene in hilly landscape with building and trees in background.
Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament, including strawberry, inhabited by peacock. In left margin, heraldic shield of Pierre Bosredont (quarterly vair and gules).
