Anthony Abbot the Great, rays as nimbus, tonsured, holding book and bell with right hand and crozier with left, stands flanked by two pigs and by two rocky outcrops, against background of gold scroll work.
Blue heads appear above arch inside frame of miniature.
Margins decorated with border of gold rinceaux inhabited by hybrid man wearing helmet, holding shield with left hand and raising sword with right hand; hybrid man wearing hat, raising right hand, holding leaf with left hand; hybrid man holding shield and lance. Gold geometric ornament at each corner of miniature.
