Border composed of bands of foliate ornament, inhabited by numerous grotesques, including hybrid men. In lower margin are three quatrefoils enclosing escutcheons with Tiptoft arms (argent a saltire engrailed gules) flanking Clavering arms (quarterly or and gules a bend sable).
