Within initial S, Benedict of Montecassino, rays as nimbus, as pope (?) wearing cross surmounted triple-crowned tiara and cope, raising right hand in blessing, holding processional cross with left hand with background of dado below red wall decorated with gold scrollwork.
Margins decorated with border of floreate rinceaux, some emerging from ends of vertical bar in left margin.
