Upper half: Joshua: Farewell -- At left, Joshua, inscribed IOSUE, nude, pouring water from pitcher onto stone with right hand, semi-reclining on draped bed, looking toward five men, three gesturing, standing next to the bed. From chapter 23 of Joshua. Joshua: Farewell --At right, group of soldiers, wearing helmets, holding spears, halberd, sword, bow and arrow, and axe, all stand before wall of city with closed portal; two heads visible behind crenellated walls. Scenes inscribed IOSUE WAS WORDEN ALT UND KRANKCH / DAS ER NYMM MACHT SEIN IR UORGANKCH UND WIE ER ZU AINEM ... DAS WAZZER GOZ AUZ AINEM KRUGEL SNEL From chapter 24 of Joshua. Lower half: Joshua: Farewell -- At left, two confronted armies of mounted soldiers armed with lances, swords, star mace and scimitars. Soldiers on right bleeding and falling from horse. Bleeding soldiers and horse on ground. Joshua: Farewell -- At right, mounted soldier, with sword in right hand, stabbing king, crowned, astride horse, raising right, bleeding from wound.
