Jean Froissart: Chroniques, Book I, Chapter 331 -- English soldiers led by John Harlestone, wearing surcoat (unfinished), holding axe, attack French soldiers led by William des Bordes, wearing surcoat decorated with arms. On each side, soldier carries banner. On right, banner is decorated with arms of William des Bordes. Left banner is blank.
Text describes battle of Tisech in Poitou, which occured during the battles of Poitou in September, 1372, between the French and English.

Initial, decorated, contains arms of Pierre de Fontenay impaled with arms of Marie de Broyes.
