Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, wearing fillet, stands with hands raised beside Elizabeth, nimbed, wearing veil and wimple, with right hand touching abdomen of Virgin Mary. Scene in landscape with stream, trees, birds, and distant cities and mountains.
Miniature enclosed in frame inscribed ECCE ENIM UT FACTA ESTE UOS SALUTACIONIS TUE IN AURIBUS MEIS EXULTAUIT IN GAUDIO INFA[NS] (sic).
Amid foliate ornament in margins are eight birds; hybrid man, with spotted animal body and tail; man, wearing hat; man, wearing hat and pointy-toed shoes, possibly with bird perched on his head; man, pointing toward miniature with right hand; and soldier, wearing helmet, holding shield with center boss in right hand and grasping foliage with left hand.
Miniature and ornament executed in grisaille and gold tones with color accents.
