Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to tau cross, flanked by Virgin Mary, veiled, with arms crossed on her breast, and by Evangelist John. Scene in initial G.
Margin with floreate ornament, inhabited by bird in top margin. In lower margin is vignette:
Bird: Pelican in her Piety -- Pelican with her beak to her breast, perches beside nest with three chicks.
