Virgin Mary: Lamentation -- Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, with joined hands, kneels on ground looking down toward body of Christ, wearing short loincloth, reclining on mantle of Virgin Mary. They are flanked by Evangelist John, with joined hands, kneeling, and two Holy Women, both wearing headdresses, one next to John, with hands to face and the other, her joined hands extended, kneeling at head of Christ. In background is cross, against which leans ladder, flanked by two crosses on which are two bodies.
Scene in landscape with city in distance.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including viola and rose, and inhabited by insect and ladybug.
