Christ: Deposition -- Christ, scalloped nimbus, in long loin cloth, blood flowing from wounds in feet and side, is lowered from cross with suppedaneum and blank titulus by Joseph of Arimathea, who grasps his torso. Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, hands draped, supports Christ's arms. Evangelist John, scalloped nimbus, stands wringing hands. Nicodemus removes nail from Christ's feet with pincers.
