Initial I enclosing Evangelist Symbol of Matthew (angel), holding blank scroll; againt gold background at beginning of Ninth Lesson on the Eighteenth Sunday after Feast of Trinity. Initials T enclosing head of man at beginning of Collect "Tua nos Domine quaesumus gratia semper ..." and C enclosing head of man, wearing hat, at beginning of Homily in the Ninth Lesson. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by busts of two men amid foliage (lower).
