Scene, Historical: Battle between Rome and Carthage -- Helmeted Roman and Carthaginian soldiers battle with weapons, four hold swords, one holds spear, and one holds lance with shield. To left, some soldiers are trampled on ground, and soldiers to right carry three lances, most with only helmets visible. Scene in landscape with trees, against gold sky. Figures painted in grisaille. Margins decorated with floreate and foliate border above and below right column, including daisies, miniature within gold frame.
