Christ: Entombment -- Christ, cross-nimbed with rays, bleeding from wounds in head, side, and hands, is laid on cloth in sarcophagus by Joseph of Arimathea at His head and Nicodemus at His feet, behind them stands Virgin Mary, veiled with wimple, Evangelist John, and Mary Magdalen, wearing turban-like headdress, raising kercheif to face, the latter three nimbed. Margins decorated with diapered border with infilling of irises and pearls. Miniature at beginning of Compline in Short Hours of the Cross.
