Initial D:
Christ: Deposition -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with draped hands supports detached right arm of Christ, cross-nimbed, in loin cloth, and Joseph of Arimathea with towel supports His torso. Nicodemus with pincers extracts nail from His feet on cross. Man on ladder with pincers extracts nail from His left hand on the cross. Evangelist John, nimbed, stands with book in right hand and left hand raised.
Scene beneath double trefoil arches, within initial D decorated with marginal foliate extensions, including one formed by fantastic animal in upper margin, and another entwined by serpent and man clambering its stem in right margin.
Psalm 110 (Vulg., 109) -- Half figure of nimbed male saint with joined hands raised in front.
