Christ: Entombment -- Christ, crossed nimbus, bleeding from wounds, body partially draped, is held over sarcophagus. Joseph of Arimathea, wearing headgear, purse at waist, holds end of shroud with right hand, and with left hand supports legs of Christ on shroud; Nicodemus leans over other end of the sarcophagus, supporting His head on shroud. Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, standing behind the sarcophagus, holds His right arm with both hands, left hand draped; she is flanked by two Holy women, decorated nimbi, one clasping hands on breast. Mary Magdalen, back-turned, kneels at front of sarcophagus, next to open ointment jar and lid.
Interior scene in vaulted space with leaded windows, opening supported by colonnettes.
