Judith: slaying Holofernes -- Holofernes, crowned, right hand on breast, semi-reclines on draped bed flanked by curtains. Judith, standing next to the bed, with right hand, holds sword to neck of Holfernes, grasping with her left hand, crown on his head. Scene enclosed initial A decorated with foliate and geometric ornament, and composed partly of body of fantastic animal, head biting right upright of initial. Pen-flourished initial A. Beginning of Judith.
