David: communicating with God -- God (Christ-Logos), with crossed nimbus and right hand raised in blessing, appears in arc of heaven ringed with seraphim and emanating rays above David, wearing hat-like crown and purse at waist, kneeling with left hand on his breast. Around him are throne, harp, draped prie-dieu with open book with pseudo-inscription, dog, and portative organ. In background beyond wall is landscape with trees, hills, and city.
Margins with floreate and scroll ornament, inhabited in right margin by two headed winged dragon; and in lower margin by fantastic man, holding club in raised right hand, seated astride fatnastic animal and holding it by the snout.
