Evangelist Luke sits in room, writing in book on open lap. Beside him on table sits painting of Virgin Mary, book, and inkpot. On shelf above his head, sit two glass vessels, jar, and three books. Evangelist symbol (bull) stands in portico extending from rear of room.
At bottom of miniature, two winged putti, seated, hold up text block as well as scroll inscribed SI L'AVIENT AR.
