Christ: Baptism -- Nimbed angel, flying, emerges from side, holding garment. Dove of Holy Ghost flies diagonally toward head of Christ, cross-nimbed, nude, standing in Jordan river and raising His right hand in blessing. He is baptized by vessel of affusion held in right hand of John Baptist, nimbed, wearing garment of skins under surcoat, standing at right.
Scene with gold background, within decorated initial D embellished with filigree in spandrels.
Margins decorated with foliate extensions, including one with terminal of hybrid man-dragon in the upper margin, and inhabited by bird perched on leaf in the lower margin.
