David: communicating with God -- David, wearing crowned hat, kneels with joined hands raised between draped prie-dieu, with open book with pseudo-inscription, and harp. Rays descend from God, holding globe in left hand, at top left. Miniature framed by columns and arch with pendant.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament, inhabited by two musicians, both wearing hats, one playing lute and the other playing horn.
