In upper compartment of initial S, God or Christ-Logos, crossed (?) nimbus, raising right hand in blessing, holding book with extended left hand. Below, in water, nude David, crowned, raising both arms, looking upward. All within initial decorated with foliate ornament at beginning of Psalm 69 (Vulg., 68).
