David: beheading Goliath -- David, raising sword with right hand, holds, with left hand, hair of Goliath, helmet falling off, right hand holding spear, shield at left shoulder decorated with face with horns, sword at waist, legs crossed.
Caption, DAUID SUP(ER)AUIT GOLIA(M) SUP(ER)BU(M), is inscribed above miniature.
Right column:
David: slaying Bear and David: slaying Lion -- David, name inscribed DAUID, rends mouth of bear standing on its hind feet before him. Lion, bleeding from head, reclines on its back at feet of David. Small lion or bear is in lower left corner.
