Virgin Mary: Death -- Virgin Mary, with rays as nimbus, veiled, lays beneath covers in bed with canopy inscribed AVE MARIA GRACIA. Around the bed are twelve nimbed Apostles, including one kneeling, facing the bed, and holding open book with pseudo-inscription; one seated with hands clasped on his breast; one standing with joined hands raised; Peter, tonsured, holding lighted candle; John, as youth, holding lighted candle; and one holding open book with both hands. At top right, in cloud-rimmed arc of heaven, is Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus, wearing mantle, showing wounds as Man of Sorrows, flanked by seraphim.
Margins with compartments of daisies and iris, inhabited by two birds and fly, interspersed with lozenges with vinescroll.
