Angel, Archangel Michael: transfixing Satan -- Archangel Michael, nimbed, wearing armor, winged, holds sword in right hand and stands upon bestial devil (Satan), on ground. Scene amid rocks.
Upper vignette:
Maccabees: Battle against Timotheus --Judas Maccabaeus, wearing armor, holding shield inscribed with lion in right hand and with left hand raised, is flanked by group of soldiers, wearing armor, some with spears, most with only tops of heads visible. Scene in landscape setting.
Lower vignette:
Maccabees: Battle against Timotheus -- Within cloudy arc of heaven, rayed, is half-figure of God, nimbed, making gesture of blessing with right hand and holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand.
