Miniature, vignette, right: Christ: Presentation -- Simeon of Jerusalem, wearing hat and vestments, with both hands holding Christ Child, wrapped in red swaddling bands, flanked on either side by Virgin Mary and Prophetess Anna, both veiled, all nimbed in front of retable decorated with figures. Scene within apse of chapel with vaulted ceiling, three arched windows, and tiled floor. Miniature for First Chapters and Collects in Lauds for Feast of the Purification of the Virgin (02.22). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry.
